“A Filipino people with strong sense of nationhood and deep respect for cultural diversity”

For almost 2 years of being in pandemic there are stories that are hardly to be ignored, learning
lost is one of many clamor as we continue our learning.

The Mini Recitals: Kislap aims to bring back the motivation to showcase the learning outcomes
and performances of the SPA students in physical way. Think of the things that have been
ignored during the pandemic. Now, we are all witnessing the outputs made by the Grade 7 and
Grade 8 Media Arts students.

The following are the Competencies that we have tackled during the 1st grading period.

Defines the meaning of Art, elements, principles, its significance, and use

Relates popular works of Filipino artists with current events and realities

Recognizes the six arts disciplines

Develops a meaning interpretation of the disciplines and the artist’s popular works.

These competencies are shown and applied in our outputs. Our outputs involved the use of Adobe
Photoshop as we practice being future graphic designers. The following outputs are as follows.

1. The Flat vectors of us, this is an application of the elements of arts and the application of the
basics of Adobe Photoshop.
2. The Vector Arts of the different Manlilikha ng bayan, created by the grade 8 Media Arts
students. The National Living Treasures Award, alternatively known as the Gawad sa Manlilikha
ng Bayan is conferred to a person or group of artists recognized by the Government of the
Philippines for their contributions to the country's intangible cultural heritage. A recipient of the
award, a National Living Treasure or Manlilikha ng Bayan is "a Filipino citizen or group of Filipino
citizens engaged in any traditional art uniquely Filipino, whose distinctive skills have reached
such a high level of technical and artistic excellence and have been passed on to and widely
practiced by the present generations in their community with the same degree of technical and
artistic competence.”
3. The vector arts of the different National Artists created by the Grade 7 Media Arts students. The
order of the highest state honor is conferred on individuals deemed as having done much for
their artistic field. Deserving individuals must have been recommended by both the Cultural
Center and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts prior to receiving the Award. Such
people are then titled, by virtue of a Presidential Proclamation, as National Artist (Filipino:
Gawad Pambansang Alagad ng Sining), and are inducted into the Order.
4. Another Photoshop effect, is the Glued Photo effect, this enable us to use the different layers
and colors as well as the basics of adobe photoshop.
5. The Double exposure effect, Double exposure is a technique that combines two or more images
by layering one on top of another. Initially, double exposure was created using multiple
exposures to create a single image. However, the effect can now be easily recreated using basic
Photoshop techniques. Two photos are layered over one another, then connected by adjusting
the topmost layer’s layer mode, generally changing it to either Screen or Lighten.
6. The Photo Glich effect, the high quality and unique charm of this glitch photo effect won’t leave
your audience indifferent! Unleash your creative potential, we have put this glitch effect in a
poster format, glitching photography in a couple of clicks.

There you have it, our outputs for the 1 st grading period, along the way we will improve our craft as we
continue our journey here in Special Program in the Arts.

Thank you and enjoy the rest of the Recitals.
