Instructions to setup login to your Office

Desktop from Home


1. Type “mstsc” in the “Run” option in start menu or by pressing
“Windows + R” shortcut.

Click “OK”

2. It will then open the “Remote Desktop Connection” software

Click “Show Options” here


3. Clicking “Show Options” will reveal the “Advanced” tab.

Click “Settings” here


4. In the “Settings” enter “srv-mf513.karvy.com” in the Server name
field
Also, select “Use my RD Gateway credentials” to avoid entering
password twice.

Click “OK” here


5. Enter your Desktop IP in “Computer” field and your @karvy.com
user ID which you use on your Desktop daily in the “Username”

Click “Connect” here


6. You will then be prompted for your password.
Also, this screen look and feel changes based on the type of
operating system installed in your computer.
7. You will now be logged into your “Office Computer”

You can work now. If you have trouble connecting, see further.
8. Caveats / Troubleshooting tips

a. In some cases, you may see a prompt like this, please go


ahead and click “Yes”

Click “Yes”
b. Until you login to your desktop successfully, the gateway
settings will not get saved. You might need to check them if
you are not able to login.
c. In the event you see a lag in the response time of your
desktop, reduce the screen resolution. This will reduce the
bandwidth requirement and speed up the response time.
d. You may also auto adjust the settings to better suit your
broadband/data card speeds.

e. If nothing works, it’s time to talk to the IT folks.
