A llah S WT for all H is grace and guidance, w ho has provided
ins tructions and convenienc e for the writer s o that the w riter can
complet e the preparation of the F ield Work Practice report at the
C igeureung Community H ealth Center s moothly and w ell. The
report is made as the requirement to have s chool examinat ion year
2022 / 2023.

INTRODUCTION

A . BA CK RO U ND
Community health center is a health s ervice facility that
organizes public health efforts and firs t-level individual health
efforts , by prioritizing promotive and preventive efforts , to
achieve the highes t degree of public health. Optimal health s atus ,
w ithout neglecting the quality of service to individuals .
Community health centers are health technica l implem enting
units under the s upervis ion of D is trict/C ity H ealth O ffice. In
general, they mus t provide preventive, promotive, curative to
rehabili tat ive s ervices either through individual health efforts
(U KP ) or public health efforts (U K M ). Community health centers
can provide inpatien t s ervices in addition to outpatient s ervices .
This w as agreed by the community health center and health
departmen t concerned. N urs es provide s ervices in the community,
community health centers us ually have s ervice subunits such as
auxiliary community health centers , mobile community health
centers , pos yandu, village health pos ts and village maternity huts
(polindes ).

B. O BJ ECTIV ES
The objectives of field w ork practices in the w orld of health
are :
1. Introduce s tudents to the w orld of health
2. To get a new experience in the w orld of health
3. To increas e know ledge of the world of health
4. To increas e the s tudents capabil ity in nurs ing
departmen t
5. To train the s tudents res pons ibility
6. To train the s tudents mental ly

PRODUCTION AND PROCESS

The implemen tation of field w ork practices has been held in 1 s t
augus t until 30 t h S eptember 2022. A nd the w orking time is from at
07.00 a.m – 14.00 p.m. it’s been held in Cigeureung Community
H ealth Center, J l. Cigeureung no.111, N agaras ari, K ec. Cipedes ,
Tas ikmal aya.

1. Community health centers are one of the mos t important

public health s ervice facilit ies in Indones ia. Community
health center is a technical implement ing unit of the
D is trict/Ci ty s ervice w hich is res pons ible for organizing
health developmen t in a work area. (D epkes : 2011)
2. Community health center is a functional implement ing unit
that functions as a center for health development, a center
for fos tering community particip ation in the health s ector
and a firs t-level health s ervice center that carries out its
activi ties in a comprehens ive, integrat ed and s us tainable
manner in a community res iding in a certain area.(A zrul
A zw ar : 1996)
3. Community health center is a technica l unit of D is trict /City
health s ervice that is res pons ible for carrying out health
developmen t in one or part of the sub-dis trict area w hich
has a function as a community health developmen t center,
community empow erment center, and firs t-level health
s ervice center in the context of achieving the s ucces s of the
central function. Public health as the s pearhead of
developmen t in the health s ector. (M uninjaya in A lams yah

1. Come to the community health center as scheduled.

2. Then fill in attendanc e
3. Then, before meeting and examining patients , it is mandatory
to w ear pers onal protectiv e equipment, such as hands coons ,
mas ks , etc.
4. A fter meeting the patient, do an initia l examina tion before the
patient meets the doctor. The initia l examina tion includes as king
the patient’s firs t complain t, checking the patient’s vital s igns ,
s tarting from meas uring the patient’s body temperatur e,
meas uring the patient’s blood preas ure, counting the patient’s
puls e and breathing, checking the patient’s w eight, and so on.
5. Then document the res ults of the patient’s examination. Then
the res ults are given to the doctor
6. A nd then, take the patient to the doctor’s examination room
for further examination.

The res ults of the field work practice are :
1. The w riter can unders tand about how to handle patients
properly and correctly.
2. G et the know ledge that didn’t learn in s chool
3. Be able to increas e the know ledge
4. Can communicate directly w ith patients w hen carrying out

2. G ood cooperation betw een Cigeureung community health center
employees , and the s tudents w ho have participated in field w ork
practices .
3. There is no dis criminat ion betw een community health center
employees and s tudents
4. M aterials and equipment are w ell availabl e.

The inhibiting factor of on field w ork practice are :

1. S ometimes the s tudents are overhelmed if there are more
patients that nurs es
2. S ometimes there are patients w ho refus e to do tens ion
3. S enior nurs es are too bus y so they can’t give direct guidance

1. Benefits for s chool
a. Through F WP , s chool w ill have a good partners hip w ith
health ins titut ions
b. Through F WP , s chool w ill be better know n by the
community
2. Benefits for s tudents
a. The s tudents can implemen t the material obtained in the
eco- s tudys o that it can be applied properly

developed and implement ed in everyday life.

a. Community health centers can get to know the quality of
s tudents who practice.
b. Community health centers can participa te in efforts to
advance the development of education in particul ar and the
developmen t of the nation in general.

CLOSING

A . Conclus ion
The conclus ion of the field w ork practice (F WP ), the w riter
can conclude that this activity is very us eful for the w riter and
s tudents of Vocational H igh S chool. The w ork experience gained
w ill make the w riter and s tudents have profes s ional s kills in the
field of nurs ing, and educate the w riter and s tudents have a s ens e
of dis cipline and high s ens e of res pons ibility
