A PORTFOLIO FOR FIELD STUDY 1

OBSERVATION OF TEACHING- LEARNING

ROSS ANDREI B. DANGWILIS

A Portfolio presented to the faculty of the College of Teacher

Education Benguet State University In Partial Fulfillment

of the Requirements of the Course

Bachelor of Science in Education

General Science

December, 2022
PREFACE

This portfolio is a result from my experiences and observations in Field

Study 1 at Benguet State University- Secondary Laboratory School (BSU-SLS).

The portfolio contains my personal data and personal educational

philosophy, information like the background/history, location of the school. The

Basic Education Information System (BEIS) is also included which are the

organizational chart, faculty profile, and student profile. It also compromises the

episodes, clearance from the cooperating school, weekly attendance, and

weekly reports (routing forms).

The purpose of Field Study 1 is to observe the students, the school

structure, and the community. Because this is the student teachers' first

exposure to the school environment, they are expected to take note of the school

and classroom facilities, as well as the school's organizational structure.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I would like to express my gratitude to the members of the Benguet State

University community who contributed to the success of our Field Study 1 and 2.

In particular, I want to thank the College of Teacher Education (CTE) Dean, Dr.

Divina M. Yango, and the Chair of the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSE),

Dr. Dolores E. Alawas, for approving our Field Study at the Secondary

Laboratory School of Benguet State University and for signing our certificates. I

also want to thank Dr. Percyveranda A. Lubrica, our field study instructor, for

always being supportive, and motivating, and for reminding us of the purpose,

importance, and substance of teaching.

I want to express my gratitude to the principal, Sir John P. Botengan Jr.

for letting us stay, work, and experience at BSU-SLS; the cooperating teacher,

Dr. Olga B. Betudio for always guiding and encouraging us while we were there;

Sir Joshua Bastian for enabling us to have the teaching demonstration in his

class; and to all the professors and students who let us observe their class.

My Field Study groupmate deserves my sincere gratitude for helping me

create my portfolio, providing information about the requirements that were

necessary, providing printing services, and providing us with the drive to create

and complete all of our needs on time.

Above all, I would like to thank the Almighty for guiding me in everything I

do, for blessing me and guiding me through the challenges of the learning and

teaching process. I thank the Lord for giving me a heart willing to serve, love,

and guide every student toward meaningful learning.
