A Parity of Death

The story is entitled The Masque of the Red Death was written by Edgar Allan

Poe that tell us about a disease called the Red Death plague in a fictional setting. In The

Masque of the Red Death which is Edgar Allan Poe conveys the allegorical idea of the

inevitability of death and humanity fear of it through the use of symbolism. Poe portrays

the idea of deaths inevitability through the symbolism of Prince Prospero. The covid-19

crisis is more emblematic of 2020 inevitability, when covid-19 arise good choices and

poor choices will be made. To emphasize the brevity of life, the fleeting of life and time,

and the nearness of death.

The masque of the red death which is Poe's story is that no artifice can prevent the

inevitability of Fate. The Covid-19 crisis our current fate illustrates how much has

changed in the world’s capacities and in the potential of leadership to make a difference

in global calamity. The virus has no inclination to bend to will and then there are many

who seek to defy this fate. The red death has long devastated to the country.

Covid-19 pandemic is ongoing, people at home sought isolated comfort. It

conclude that The Masque of the Red Death is an allegory about life and death and the

powerlessness of humans to evade the grip of death it represents both literally and

allegorically to death. No matter how beautiful you are, how beautiful the castle, how

expensive your clothing, or how rich you are, no mortal, not even a prince can escape

death. The Red Death embodies a type of radical monetary equality because it attacks the

rich and poor alike.
