TeamTalk
This is your quick and easy guide to help you with this week’s team talk. Remember, it’s
important your team understand these messages. Good luck!

DPD Direct collections

DPD Direct parcels are collected in green bags (or pallet boxes) and must not
be opened.
• Customer must seal items in the DPD Direct green bags or pallet boxes
and apply a collection label
• Only DPD Direct parcels should be placed in the bags
• Collection driver must scan the collection label on the outside of the
green bag
• Do not open the green bag - return the sealed bag to the depot
• Do not load onto the conveyor or remove any parcels from the bag
• Load the sealed bag onto the back of the earliest available linehaul
• Information on the DPD Direct service is under CD-30 and WH-18 on DPD
Academy
Please ensure the attached poster is displayed on Shift Manager
Workstations and briefed to all drivers.

Parcels in the cab

Under no circumstances should you leave any parcels in the cab of your
vehicle.
This increases the risk of a vehicle break-in and is against company process.
Personal belongings such as wallets, phones and keys should be kept in your
possession at all times to eliminate the same risk.

Food process
It is important you familiarise yourself with the processes for delivering food
parcels.
Items have been delivered recently on paper despite the Saturn unit advising
that food parcels were to be destroyed. Under no circumstances should a
food parcel be delivered if notification is received to say that it has passed its
target date.
• Under no circumstances should you attempt to deliver a damaged food
parcel, even if it has been taped up
• If you come across a damaged food parcel whilst route loading it must be
handed back to the Shift Manager and removed from your Saturn
• If you find the parcel damaged at the delivery point you must not deliver
and need to explain to the receiver that their parcel cannot be delivered if
it is damaged
