BUILDING GRAVES PERMITTED OR PROHIBBITED ACCORDING TO QURAN AND SUNNAH?

According to Sahih Bukhari Volume: 1, Book of Salat, Chapter: 8, Hadith: 419, Narrated by Mother Aisha (May Allah be Pleased with Her): Umme Habiba (May Allah be Pleased with Her) and Umme Salama (May Allah be Pleased with Her) mentioned about a church they had seen in Ethiopia in which there were pictures. They told the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) about it, on which He (Peace be Upon Him) said, "If any religious man dies amongst those people they would build a place of worship at his grave and make these pictures in it. They will be the worst creature in the sight of Allah on the Day of Resurrection." Another Sahih Hadith is mentioned in Sahih Muslim Volume: 1, Book of Salat, Chapter: 4, Hadith: 2116, Narrated by Jabir Ibn Abdullah (May Allah be Pleased with Him): The Prophet of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) forbade that the graves should be plastered, or they be used as sitting places (for the people), or a building should be built over them In other place it is mentioned in Sahih Bukhari Volume: 1, Book of Salat, Chapter: 8, Hadith: 427, Narrated Mother Aisha (May Allah be Pleased with Her) and Abdullah Ibn' Abbas (May Allah be Pleased with Him): When the last moment of the life of Allah's Messenger (Peace Be Upon Him) came He (Peace Be Upon Him) started putting his 'Khamisa' on his face and when He (Peace Be Upon Him) felt hot and short of breath He (Peace Be Upon Him) took it off his face and said, "May Allah curse the Jews and Christians for they built the places of worship at the graves of their Prophets." The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) was warning (Muslims) of what those had done. And further it is compiled in Sahih Muslim Volume: 1, Book of Salat, Chapter: 4, Hadith: 1083, Narrated by Jundub Ibn Abdullah (May Allah be Pleased with Him): "I heard from the Allah's Messenger (Peace Be Upon Him) five days before his death and He (Peace Be Upon Him) said: I stand acquitted before Allah that I took anyone of you as friend, for Allah has taken me as His friend, as he took Ibrahim as His friend. Had I taken any one of my Ummah as a friend, I would have taken Abu Bakr (May Allah be Pleased with Him) as a friend. Beware of those who preceded you and used to take the graves of their prophets and righteous men as places of worship, but you must not take graves as mosques; I forbid you to do that. Conclusion The interpretations of the above Sahih Hadiths are themselves with broad beauty of knowledge that making plastered graves and picture on/of them is totally prohibited. Also it is instructed by our beloved

Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) that graves must not be the place of worship for asking our own wishes from/to them. And his teaching applied to the whole of humanity whether they are prophets, saints, caliphs, sahabas etc including his own self. We love and respect Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) more than any one in this world. It is our responsibility, our faith to obey him in practice for what Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) taught us. And it is written clearly in.. Surah Maida Verse: 3, "This day have I perfected for you your religion and completed my favor on you and chosen for you Islam as a religion." JazakAllah!
