 to produce truth table.
 Logic circuits
 Logic statements (Boolean algebra)
Teaching and learning activities:
Starter (5 minutes) Planned
 Ask students meaning for : differentiation
i. Logic gates activities.
ii. Logic circuits Key definitions (relating to Higher &
iii. Truth table lower abilities, SEN)
 Ask students what system do the logic gates use? Binary/hexa/denary. Why?  Revision
Development – Lesson 1 (45 minutes)
1. Students given will be given note and work sheets for the topic ‘Logic gates
and circuits’. Students will go through/discuss the notes from page 1 - 2 with
teacher assist. Discuss questions like:
a. How do they count the number of inputs?
b. Formula to use - 2n
2. Teacher will distribute the chart for the students to fill up the answers.
Students will work in pairs and fill in the answers(draw and write the
Boolean statement)
3. Students will check the answer and go through their google drive.
4. Students will do ‘Question 1’ and write the answers. Teacher will write the
answer on the board.
5. Teacher will go through 2 inputs and explain using the truth table. Then
students will continue the task and complete the truth table.
6. Once the students complete the truth table, they will save their answers in the
drive. For Question 3 – 2015, 4-2016 until 5- 2016, students will work in
pairs and save the answers in the drive. Teacher will choose and show the
answer’s for Q 3 till Q5.
7. Students will complete ‘Exam style questions’.
