Q1. The heights and weights of five students are as follows. Use the data to
predict how many circuit boards a worker will assemble in 10 hours.

1. Determine the regression equation to estimate y.

Q3: An Economist gives the following estimates of price and demand for a
product. It is required to find the correlation coefficient with comments.

Demand = y 9 7 6 3 1

Q4: The following sample of six measurements was randomly selected from
a normal distributed population: 1, 3, -1, 5, 1 and 2. Test the null hypothesis
that the mean of the population is 3 against the alternate hypothesis µ at
α =0.05 level of significance:
