What is the symmetry in 3D shapes?

The meaning of symmetry is that one shape is exactly like the other shape
when it is moved, rotated, or flipped.

The 3D symmetry line segments are parallel to one another, and their
projections (2D symmetry line segments) are also parallel to one another
under an orthographic condition. The 3D symmetry line segments are parallel
to the normal of the symmetry plane and they are bisected by the symmetry
plane

A plane of symmetry is a two-dimensional plane which divides this 3D object

into two mirrored congruent halves. Let's imagine that we've drawn a line of
symmetry between the midpoints of two opposite sides on the hexagon. We
could then create a two-dimensional plane by extending along the length of
this prism

What is Isometric Paper?

An isometric graph paper represents a series of connecting guidelines that form 60

degrees triangles. Six triangles that connect in one point form an hexagon which also
depicts a cube.

The way you use isometric paper is simple. It's just like regular graph
paper only the boxes are angled so you automatically end up drawing in
3D

Isometric paper can be used to draw 3D shapes - for example the cube below
is drawn using the dots as a guide. The vertical lines always remain vertical,
but the horizontal lines are at angles.

Isometric drawings can be used to show the scale of a

product as well as a 3D representation.
