Introduction
According to Jaramillo-Nieves & Del Rio
(2010), RE has a significant impact to the social, environmental and economic energy
sustainability of a country. For one, it can help widen energy access for the population,
reduce
harmful pollutants and help generate jobs. Ibid, among the environmental benefits of
renewable
energy are the reduction of both local and global greenhouse gas emissions. Aside from
that,
there is lesser need to exploit natural resources, increased integrity and overall stability
of the
environment.
The world in today's generation is getting vulnerable to changes. People keep
developing different innovations that will make the human way of living much easier and
efficient. As time goes by we are all finding ways for sustainable development for us to
live without worries and problems.Technological innovation brings good services and
improves the living standard of humanity.
Solar Renewable energy is one of the most beneficial innovations in today's
technological generation. Solar Energy is produced by the Sunlight, a non-vanishing
renewable source of energy which is free and eco-friendly. Every hour enough sunlight
energy reaches the earth to meet the world's energy demand for a whole year
(Parikrama 2017). Solar energy is a great alternative for today's shortage of  fossil fuels.
According to Stefanie Ching (2018), Renewable energy (RE) has long been associated
with sustainable development (SD). With the increase in demand and lack of fossil fuel
supplies, many have turned to alternative options like RE. We can not even deny the
fact that our country is now having shortage in terms of fuel supplies and different
sources and one of the best solution is to promote the usage of Solar Renewable
energy in the Philippines.
According to Jaramillo-Nieves & Del Rio (2010), Renewable Energy has a
significant impact on the social, environmental and economic energy sustainability of a
country. For one, it can help widen energy access for the population, reduce harmful
pollutants and help generate jobs. Ibid, among the environmental benefits of renewable
Energy is the reduction of both local and global greenhouse gas emissions. Aside from
that, there is less need to exploit natural resources, increased integrity and overall
stability of the environment. Based on some research it is undeniably proven that solar
light is a great source of revewable energy and electricity for the reason that the natural
source of it limitless.
With the given definitions we can clearly say that we should give a huge platform
to the usage of solar energy to prove what this renewable energy can provide to the
whole world population. Solar Technology might sound money consuming and this
factor is one of the obstacles that this project might face. The factors and advantages of
the usage of solar energy will be discussed in the following analysis.
II. Objectives
This analysis seeks to promote and understand the usage of Solar as a source of
Renewable Energy with the help of some research and articles. This analysis will give
highlights to the different advantages of this renewable energy and how it will help to
promote sustainable development in the Philippines.

Stefany C. Ching (2018). Harnessing Renewable Energy towards Sustainable

development in the Philippines.
The study of Stefany C. Ching showed that, as developing countries continue to look
into various renewable resources we consider the use of Solar to generate electricity
and to give benefits to the massive number of population. Efforts have been made to
continuously make the use of solar energy more accessible by producing affordable
solar panels. The research examined the tradeoffs given by the solar, geothermal, and
wind energy industries as well as identifying the hurdles to entrance with the aim of
showing the significance and viability of utilizing renewable energy resources in the
Philippines for sustainable development. Developing sustainable rural renewable
energy has several environmental, social and economic benefits (Ching 2018).

In addition, the renewable energy for sustainable development of Stefany C. Ching not
only focused on the Solar energy aspect, they also considered the use of different types
of renewable resources such as: Geothermal Energy and Wind Energy. The study
clearly elaborates the different difficulties and advantages that the future might face in
the usage of renewable energy.

The study clearly shows that lack of use of RE is due to little financial support and
proper education accounts for why respondents and the whole Philippine population
have not seen any RE usage within the area of their homes and why most of them could
not provide examples for projects or initiatives that are promoting the use of renewable
energy. The researcher proposes that, to resolve the identified problems is to
encourage the government and businesses to subsidize in order to make Solar
renewable energy affordable and accessible to all.
