I would like to talk about my heartfelt trip I made with my brother in Baybay, Leyte in Dec.

13, 2022 to
visit my family and my three sons. They are thirteen, six and 2 years old.

We rode a bus from Pampanga to Ninoy Aquino’s Airport then we flew to Tacloban, Leyte and after that
we need to rode a van to Baybay, Leyte. It takes 7 hours to get there. It’s not a long ride actually but my
heart wants to jump for excitement and joy to finally saw my parents and most specially my son’s. Since
that was the first time being away with them for 8 months.

When I reached in our house I saw my kids playing in the room. I was teary eyed at that moment But
filled with love and eagerness to hug my three son. They saw me and they were surprised since I didn’t
told them that I was going home. At that very moment three of them came and run to me and hugged
me as tight as they can. I felt there eagerness toward me that they missed me too as much as I missed
them. The next day we went to the church and played in the park. We enjoyed the moment being
together. Christmas and New Year is well spent since I celebrated it with them. Until I need to came back
here in Manila. Being far from my love one especially to my children is very hard but before I made this
decision I am very determined to meet my goals for there future. I hope that all mother who has the
same situation like mine I hope they will continue what they have started to reach the goal for our
children especially to single mother like me.
