Cost of civil works:
Activities performed: (a) Construction supervision according to modified FIDIC Red Book of 5 km
of 2 m diameter pipe jacked tunnels for a foul and storm water drainage scheme for the Royal
Docks Development. Checking the Contractor's surveying and approving the Contractor's
temporary works such as coffer dams and grouting works to stabilise gravels. (b) Full design of five
minor irrigation projects. Catchment hydrology, soils, land tenure, farmer’s systems and complete
system design for weir abstraction, channel lining and protection. Construction supervision of
works. (c) FIDIC Red Book construction supervision of the Phase II development of the irrigation
project and flood protection using labour intensive construction. Secondary and tertiary canal
design review, design and construction of precast concrete outlet structures review of water
management at farmer level.
