The Law of Attraction

The Law of Attraction can be simply understood as “like attracts like”. Whether we realise or not , we
are responsible for bringing both positive and negative influences in our lives . What you choose to
focus on will have an immense impact on what happens to you and the way you perceive an event ,
experience or emotion . If you spend your days dwelling on regrets from the past or worries about the
future, you'll probably see more negativity emerging and limiting beliefs gaining control, but if you
search for the positive in every situation, you'll quickly start to notice optimism all around you.
Therefore, the Law of Attraction encourages you to see that you have the freedom to take control of
how your future develops, shaping it in the ways you choose. Christy Whitman, a master-certified law
of attraction coach in Scottsdale, Arizona, the founder of The Quantum Success Coaching Academy
and author of The Desire Factor says : “Thanks to the contribution of Albert Einstein’s famous
equation, E = mc2, we now understand that matter and energy are inseparable, and that energy is the
basis of everything in our tangible universe. Everything that manifests in the physical world does so
by a process of resonant energies being drawn together.” It is like when chord C is struck on a piano.
Every other key that is tuned to the chord of C quivers in response to the note that’s been sounded,
because frequencies that resonate at a similar vibration are magnetized together.
The fundamental tenet of the law of attraction is that energy comes before manifestation. As a result,
thinking positively can lead to good things happening in a person's life, while thinking negatively
might have the opposite effect. Thereby the law of attraction says the state of everything in our
external world—our bodies, our relationships, the robustness of our careers and our finances—is a
direct reflection of our internal state.
When the only thing we choose to observe is what is missing , what’s unjust and all the ways we’ve
been wronged , not only we continue to find evidence of wrongdoings, but we hold ourselves in a
victim mindset , actively imposing mental barriers and laying the path for negativity and distress.
“The energy, attitude, acts and emotions one puts out into the world are more likely than not to attract
similar or resonant energy, attitudes, acts, vibrations and emotions,” says James Michael Nolan,
Ph.D., a licensed psychologist, law of attraction coach and former president of Southwestern College
in Santa Fe, New Mexico. “This is not unrelated to the common notion of karma, you reap what you
sow, or what goes around comes around.” Principles behind the law of attraction can be traced back to
ancient philosophers, says Nolan, including Hermes Trismegistus and the Hermetic Teachings, which
were written as far back as the first century. “So, this is not by any means new or ‘new age-y’
thinking,” says Nolan. “It has been around a very long time, across all major religions and many
philosophical schools.”
According to a modest 2018 research from Negros Oriental State University, after receiving a 29-day
education on the concepts of the law of attraction, participants reported considerably better levels of
pleasure and thankfulness compared to the control group.
“Envision the future you desire. Create the life of your dreams. See it, feel it, believe it.” – Unknown
We are what we are , and we go through what we go through , that’s not something we can change ,
but what we can modify is our perception and approach to things . By opting to see the full half of the
glass , and all the good , beauty and love that life has to offer , we will undoubtedly be happier and
more fulfilled .
