How to associate .

wav filetype to the VACS


Open Windows explorer

Choose the option Folder options in the Tools menu

Choose the File Types tab.

Search in the list for the .wav file extension

In this example .wav extension is coupled with Windows Media Player.
Click the Change button and choose the VACS as default.
(It can be that you have to browse for the VACS executable, you can find it on following
location: “C:\Program Files\Artec\vacs”)
Once you have selected VACS as default association you will see following window:

Click advanced

Click New, and type the following (browse to c:\program files\artec\vacs), and extend with ‘-file “%1”’
(without the single quotes) :

Press OK.

Press new again to add the ‘play’ command in the same way (this time add an additional ‘-play’ as
shown below) :

These are the basic 2 commands (they will now show up when right-clicking every WAVE file in the
system)

It is possible to add more commands eg. Record (add the –rec switch)
