Relations between nations are too important to be left to governments alone

Historical context
So far, the relationship between country A and country B have been something that only regarded the
respective countries governments. Whether the nations were on good terms or not, it was only their
business and the decisions taken about their futures when it came to one another stood in the leader’s
hands. Coexisting with that status Quo, we’ve had about 34 wars in the last 100 years, and an approximate
number of 80 million people have perished to war related causes. Now, I’m not saying that those wars and
deaths were caused by those leaders, but I am saying that they had the power to not let that happen.
Let’s do a little analysing game and see if we notice a pattern. Who were the people in power in some of
the world’s deadliest wars such as both World Wars, the Second Sino-Japanese War or the Taiping
Rebelion.
