Procedure Visual Check Service Activity Details

1. Clean DF – Use the procedure found in 
Settings/Registration>Adjustment/Maintenance>Clean. N/A ~20 sec

2. Clean Platen Glass and the Platen Reader Glass. Clean the 
Platen Slit Glass using FY9‐6020‐000, please refer to TP12  N/A ~15 sec

3 Remove the ITB Assembly Visually inspect the Laser
3. Remove the ITB Assembly. Visually inspect the Laser 
cavity, if there is a lot of toner accumulation clean or 
vacuum it. Inspect the patch shutter protect, FC8‐4540‐000. 
If it is broken replace it. Inspect/Clean the Image Patch 
Sensor. Re‐install the ITB Assembly then perform a  
SettingsRegistration>Adjustment/Maintenance>Clean Inside  ~2 mins ~3 mins

4. Clean the Laser slit glass with the cleaning wand and pad.

5. Check all durable counters for paper feed rollers and 
~20 s ~1 min
replace as necessary.
6. Visually Check the Fixing Guide, FC8‐5043‐000, and ensure 
that it is not contaminated with hardened toner. If 
contaminated / clean.
~20 s ~7 mins

7. Make 12 X 18 Copies using Heavy 1,2, or 3 setting and 
check for lines on the border of the  copies. Diagnose if 
~30 secs N/A
Drum or Developer Housing needs to be replaced. If Drums 
are over 100% replace them.
8. Visually check the Manual Bypass sensor, if the sensor has 
a black connector replace it with the white one, WG8‐5783‐
000. ~15 secs ~5 mins
