One of the mandates of the university is providing extension services to its stakeholders. To abide with this, the
College of Teacher Education hold an extension activity, Learning Curve-MELC Compliant Worktext for Grade 10-English
a supplementary material that is to be donated o the Grade 10 English teachers of Tilambo National High school. This aims
to support the needs of the English teachers for such supplementary materials that will strengthen the learning and yearning
of every secondary student when it comes to the academic valuables of the students.

The locale seemed farther from what was expected the very reason why there was a delay in the program itself. It was
nearly noon time when the extensionist reached the place and readily started with the activity. Since the recipient school was
bit farther, the ceremony of the activity was conducted at Pinagbayanan Elementary School which was also a recipient of
another extension activity.

The start of the program was headed by Mrs. Bernadette Banaira, Principal II od Pinagbayanan Elementary School as
he welcomed the delegates from Batangas State University-TNEU-College of Teacher Education. She was overwhelmed
with the activity as it will really help the pupils to be more aware on the skills in reading. According to her it will be a good
move for the children to be more motivated in reading and to excel in comprehension. Such sincere appreciation was also
addressed by Mrs. Emelinda J. Capistrano, Head, Teacher III of Pinagbayanan Integrated National High School as they
appreciated the initiative of the BatstateU-CTE for such book donation drive for the Grades 7-12 students.

Mr Gerardo Untalan from Tilambo National High school was also overwhelmed with the support of the university to
their school especially to their English teachers. The Tilambo National High School was a recipient of the Self Learning
Module for Grade 10 English. This supplementary material was a product of research authored by the BSEd English major
students who were now Alumni of the college.

Dr. Sherryl Montalbo, Department Chairperson for the Undergraduate programs gracefully accepted the gratitude offered
by the recipient schools. As she started the turn over ceremony, she shared her hopes that those learning materials donated
be properly used and be their guiding light for their future. Asst. Prof. Marian S. Santos read the details of the certificate of
recognition for the Tilambo National High School which was received by Mr. Gerardo Untalan, the representative.

The activity/program ended by the message of Ms. Teodora Barza as she gave her gratitude to BatStateU-TNEU and the
College of Teacher Education.
