favourite story (TA1)

Hello! 

Now it's time for you to do the Task for this week. I invite you to check the instructions
below. Remember that if you need to review the topic, you can always go back as many times as you
need. Keep in mind that you have to present this homework during week 3. 

1. Lesson Outcome:  

Through this activity, students find out about “Tradiciones Peruanas” (Ricardo Palma) and

choose the story that like the most. They read the story together and prepare questions about
it using the present simple, the past simple, verbs of preference and the
vocabulary learned during the week. Then, they share it in a short video (3-5 min). 

2. Description:  

 Step 1:  
 Choose a story from “Tradiciones Peruanas” 
 Read the story 
 Prepare questions 

 Step 2:   
 Choose a partner or group of three. 
 Play Tic-Tac-Toe   

 Step 3:  
 With your partner or group, register the game in a video. 
 The video must last between 3-5 minutes.

 Grammar: Past simple, present simple.

Hello, teacher. My name is Keren, and my partner is Maximiliano. Today we are going
to present Task number Three, academic assignment number one. Let's start our
conversation.

K: Hello Maximiliano. how are you?

M: Hello Keren. I am fine. Do you like to read?
K: Yes, I like it, and you?
M: I always read on weekends.
K: Do you know who wrote PERUVIAN TRADITIONS?
M: Yes, it was Ricardo Palma
K: that is correct, peruvian traditions is a good book that this author wrote
M: What is story that you like the most from Ediciones peruanas?
K: well, I like the Don Dimas story of the earwig. Do you know what is the story
about?
M: Yes, I know, and it's a somewhat funny story, because it deals with how the notary
Don Dimas, who made a deal with the devil to win Visitación's love, deceived the devil
by delivering a garment that at that time was called an almilla.
K: Very good is correct
M: Do you know who was Don Dimas de la Tijereta?
K: He was a notary of the Royal Court and without an ounce of faith. It was known that
he was a hypocrite, a swindler and that he kept a treasure fruit of his tricks. Well, Do
you know what was his trade?
M: He had a long career practicing as a notary, what we would now call a lawyer. Also,
tell me who was Visitación?
K: She was a twenty-year-old girl, with eyes more killer than duelists' swords. Earwig,
who didn't even say goodnight, set out to conquer the girl. Do you like reading this king
of story?
M: I love reading this type of story, but in this particular story I really like it because of
the cunning of the characters Don Dimas to get what he wants.
