II. Introduction
1. Usage:
This instrument is used to test the permeability of materials such as special industrial fabrics,
general fabrics, knitted fabrics, coated fabrics, nonwovens and industrial filter paper, and its
performance meets or exceeds the standard requirements of GB / T5453‑1997 Determination of
fabric permeability for test equipment.
2. Main features:
1.2.1. The instrument adopts high‑precision sensor instead of the traditional water column
pressure difference test

2. Main components:
The external structure of the instrument consists of a bracket, a sample tightening device, a flow device, a display panel and other
parts. The internal structure of the instrument is composed of pressure sensor, CPU data processor, suction fan, feedback
adjustment device and so on.
3. Test Principle
According to the prescribed method and test parameters, the sample is held in the air inlet of
the fabric air permeability tester, and then adjust the fan speed to achieve the required pressure
on both sides of the fabric; according to the nozzle diameter and pressure difference between the
two sides measure the air permeability of fabric which refers to the amount of air flow per unit

area (mm / s) per unit time, the flow rate of the fabric on both sides at a predetermined pressure
difference, that is air permeability.
4. Key function description:

The total power switch of the instrument. Toggling button when lights is on
which means turning on, toggling button when lights is off which means turning off,
【Emergency stop switch】
It can effectively interrupt the power supply of equipment quickly.
Press to power off, turn right to resume normal power.

IV. Operation Specification
1. Check before starting
1.1. Check if the power plug is secure.
1.2. Check if the air supply is secure.
1.3. Check all nozzles and sample area plates are complete.
1.4. Check if the pump pressure is between 0.4 ~ 0.7MPa.
2. Check after starting
2.1. Turn on the host power.
2.2. Check if the specimen holder is in the raised position, otherwise check the air supply.
2.3. Check the color touch screen display normally, otherwise check the line is loose.
2.4. Check if the specimen on the current fixture is consistent with the sample as required,
otherwise replace.
2.5. According to the needs to do sample area selection and installation.
2.6. After selecting the nozzle for installation, close tightly the feedback adjustment door.
2.5. If the above is normal, you can start the test.
3. Test operation

Feedback device door Sample table base
First, according to the set parameters, open the feedback device door, load the suitable nozzle,
and then close the feedback device door. Followed by loading the corresponding set of test area
into the sample table base.

【Rst】：The reset value is cleared when the pressure value is large。
【Del】：Delete the data of test results, it can be used when test results vary widely

3.4. Calibration interface

3.5. Report interface
The keys of up and down are used to query the data of the previous group and the next group
respectively, and the keys of left and right are used to query each data corresponding to the group.
Press the delete key, for the lack of memory, delete all the data to continue to save the
experimental data. Press the Print key to print all the data and statistics corresponding to the
group of the current query.

V. Common Faults And Solutions
1. The value of nozzle pressure or pressure difference of sample do not beat or value is too large.
Check if the sensor is loose, if loose, please plug it in.
Check if the instrument is not cleared zero when turning on, if not, please click the Clear
button on the work interface.
2. There was no obvious upward trend in the pressure during the test
If the trachea connecting the sensor and the feedback device is inserted.
Check if the sensor is loose, if loose, please plug it in.
Check if the feedback device door is closed tightly.
3. Test starts, the fixture is not under pressure or under pressure is not enough.
Check if the air supply port is accessible.
Check if the air pressure is between 0.4 ~ 0.7MPa.
VI. Maintenance
1. The machine should be placed on the solid table.
2. Please do not move the machine when using it.
3. Choose the correct power.
4. When the machine has problem, please contact us.

6. Lube: fill lube (common one) at the rotating part of the machine (screw) every month

Installation Manual
1. The installation space requirements: The installation
space requirement,which is a basic and necessary requirement for the instrument,are as follows:

2.1 The installation environment requirements.
The environment requirements of the instrument: The temperature
requires 10℃ ~ 35 ℃, the humidity requirement requires below 85% RH, no vibration in the surrounding environment, no
corrosive medium, no strong electromagnetic interference.
2.2 The installation power and capacity requirements.
Power requires AC220V±10% 50Hz, maximum power requires 1200W, no direct sunlight, no vibration interference,
grounding requirements grounding resistance is less than 5Ω.

3.Receiving device.
When carrying the instrument,you`d better not to recline or inverted or upside down,or will produce large vibrations,and
easily broke the glassware in the instrument.
After the equipment is unpacked, the equipment and accessories should be inspected and inspected according to the
packing list. If there is a shortage or damage, please inform the company in the shortest time so that we can deal with it
in time.
4. Host installation
4.1 Fixing host After
the host is in place, the ground support force needs 80KG, and the brake pressure of the four casters of the instrument is pressed
downwards. As shown in the figure, the fixed position of the foot is fixed to the ground and the instrument cannot be moved.
4.2 Installing sample base The
sample base is composed of a sample stage, a sample net, a silicone pad, and a sample retainer ring. The sample net, the
silica gel pad, and the sample base is installed after the sample collapse ring are sequentially placed in the sample stage.

4.3 Fixing of the fixture on the sample The clamp
on the sample consists of the sample area seat and the sample pressure ring. Four four screws are mounted on the four protruding
screws on the sample area seat, and then the sample pressure ring is placed on the sample area seat.
The four springs should be aligned with the four holes of the sample pressure ring, and the left and right screws of the sample
pressure ring should be aligned with the left and right copper grooves of the sample area seat.

4.4 Aligning of sample center position The center
of the sample holder is aligned and controlled by four positions A, E, F, and H. The A clamp adjust the front and rear positions,
the H screw fixing fixture, and the two screws E and F adjust the left and right positions of the sample holder.

table tops can be directly opened,which are supported by two gas push rods, and can be folded by light pressing.

5.Electrical installation
5.1 Power connection
The power supply of this instrument requires AC220V±10% 50Hz, and the A port is the power socket. Before plugging in, you
can see if there is any ground wire. If there is no ground wire on the power socket, you should make a regular ground wire and
put it into the power socket. The test can be started after the check is correct.
Tip: The connection of the ground wire is very important. If there is no qualified ground wire connection, it will have a greater
impact on the electrical control system of the device. Therefore, the ground wire must be connected before the device is installed.
5.2 Instrument computer and software installation Install the
computer desk next to the instrument and assemble the randomly configured computers. The operating system is
installed, and the computer requirements are in the software operation manual. Copy the software installation package to the
computer hard disk through the randomly configured program CD or USB flash drive, install the host computer system software,

and key software operation manual. Connect the connection line between the computer and the host computer. The E port is the
communication port between the instrument and the computer.
5.3 Gas source installation H is the
air source interface, please ensure that the air pump pressure is between 0.4 and 0.7 MPa.
