First Scene: Lingling

*Intro music: Nature sounds with birds singing by

Tim Irving

*The mother will look for her daughter

Mother: Lingling, stop playing outside! Come
home and help us with the dishes.

Lingling: Mom, will I ever go to school?

Mother: I’m sorry dear. You know that we cannot

afford it right now.

Lingling: It’s okay mom, I understand.

Mom: Lingling, turn on the television. The news

will start soon!

* Lingling will turn the television on and will be

interested with the pageant

Second Scene: The Pageant

*Video introduction of the pageant will play (30

seconds)

Emcee: And to formally start the pageant, we *Introduction of the contestants

present to you our two lovely and fresh
candidates!
*The two contestants will do their walk across
the stage. And then, they will formally
introduce themselves.
Christian: Welcome to Mobile Legends. 5
seconds before the enemy reaches the battlefield.
All troops deployed. Smash them! Victory! Ladies
and shenenemen, my name is Christina Hermosa
Aguilera, standing in front of you is a 20 year old
stunner all the way from the beautiful Barangay
Carmen. Proud half Filipina, and half Filipino.
Leaving this stage with a message for candidate
#2, if today you’re feeling pretty, you’re not feeling
well. Thank you!

Dave: Standing in front of you is the most natural

candidate of them all. No operations, no injections,
no surgeries. *pause* I can be a novelist because
I am good at making stories. I can be a historian
because I remember all the details. And I can be
your Google because I know all the happenings.
Ladies and gentlemen, the job without pay,
without contract and without day off. I am Marites
Beltis, 20 years old, hailing all the way from Brgy
Nazareth. Leaving you with the saying “I might not
be as beautiful as your mother. I might not be as
sexy as your sister. At least, I am handsome like
your father.” And I thank you!

Third Scene: Question and Answer Portion

Emcee: Once again ladies and gentlemen,

welcome to Queen Universe 2023. How about a
round of applause? Where beauty, glitz and
glamor will come together as one as we witness
our lovely and gorgeous candidates vying for the
title of becoming the first ever queen of Lourdes
College. And now, for our question and answer
portion!

Emcee: The first candidate to answer the question

is candidate #1. Please go in front. Candidate #1,
are you ready?

Christian: No, I’m not yet ready.

Emcee: Well, you have no choice. Candidate #1,

here’s your question. One ounce of solution X
contains only ingredients a and b in a ratio of 2:3.
One ounce of solution Y contains only ingredients
a and b in a ratio of 1:2. If solution Z is created by
mixing solutions X and Y in a ratio of 3:11, what
are the benefits of creative writing?

Christian: Thank you for that very easy question.

Ladies and gentlemen, we make sense of our life
experiences in part by the stories we learn or tell
ourselves. Creative writing is an important part of
our life because it allows us to express ourselves
in a matter of words. It is through writing that we
experience rich emotions and feelings of joy,
sorrow, hardships, and failures. We learn about
behaviors and consequences. Because of creative
writing, we make stories. With stories, we spark a
connection. And with connection, we, as humans,
can be united as one. And I, thank you!

Emcee: Wow, what a marvelous answer

candidate #1. Thank you for that and you may go
back. Next on stage would be candidate #2.
Candidate #2, how are you feeling right now?

Dave: Thank you for that beautiful question. I am

feeling great right now, and I thank you!

Emcee: Candidate #2, go back. That is not your

question. Here’s your question. In biology,
Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. If you
were to develop a cellular implantation of the
mitochondria element of an organism, how would
you do it and why?

Dave: Well, thank you for that well-articulated and

eloquent question. Keep it up! And I thank you.

Emcee: Candidate #2, I don’t like your answer.

Dave: Well I don’t like your question!

Emcee: Candidate #2, go back. Here is your final

question. As a beauty queen how will you
encourage the youth to write and make stories?

Dave: As a beauty queen I will encourage the

youth to write and make stories through providing
them program’s and activities that will help them
develop the skills that are needed in writing. And I
will also use my voice to influence them through
teaching them the knowledge that I can offer to
them. I always believe that providing them
opportunities to learn will help them have the
courage and the confidence to do the things that
they love. That is why, if I will when the crown
tonight I will use the title to make more meaningful
things such as helping children in our community.
And I hope to do that with these organization.

afternoon, and good evening everybodyyyy! ● BG Music: Chika Minute
Guyshhhh, I will be your host for today's Chika
Minute. Go go gooo! Okay let’s welcome our guest
for today, it’s none other than Vinz Bartolata! Go
go go.

Vinz: Thank you so much Rufa for having me here

today!

Rufa: Hello Vinz, you’re so gorgeous today. I love

the outfit. How are you Vinz?

Vinz: Thank you. Actually, I’m doing pretty good,

Rufa! I’m grateful for everything that I have right
now.

Rufa: Oh wow, you’re the first ever Filipino author

to win the International Prize for Literature during
the last Booker Prize Awards. Go go goooo!

Vinz: Oh well Rufa, it’s not only my award, but

also my supporters’ who have been with me since
day 1.

Rufa: Well I am curious to know, have you always

wanted to write?

Vinz: To be honest Rufa, I never really liked

writing not until I happened to stumble upon this
live pageant on our tv back then. And the answer
of the candidate truly inspired me to become an
author.

Rufa: Really? Okay Vinz, what was your

nickname back then?

Vinz: Oh my, I never revealed this one before. My

nickname used to be Lingling.

Rufa: O M G your nickname is Lingling.

Vinz: I know it sounds kind of funny but who

 would’ve thought that Lingling would be where I
am right now. And which is why I want to take this
opportunity to inspire young and aspiring writers to
never stop believing in themselves. Start writing
now because it’s either now or never. If you want
to change the world, pick up your pen and write.

Rufa: Yeeeshhh!! Thank you so much for that

inspiring message, Vinz. And also to all our
viewers, I hope that you were able to learn
something meaningful with our episode today.
