ABC General Corporation is a budget retailer that provides the general population with necessities.

Home furnishings, cleaning products, clothing, cosmetics, and food are all sold for about one dollar.

The ABC General Corporation lacks the fundamental capabilities of an automated system for tracking
inventory because it is not one of the top companies in this sector. When it comes to sales, money, and
even thievery, this is a serious issue.

ABC General Corporation uses their managers to keep track of the inventory at each location. The
number of cases of a specific item that are being delivered to the store is approximately known to the
managers. To ensure that each item is delivered in precisely the right quantity, the manager should
manually count each item when the delivery truck arrives. A store with a lot of competition cannot be
run effectively in this manner.

The following decisions have to be made before investing in an information system:

Investment:

They must first invest in the complementary assets that are required, primarily managerial and
organizational assets. They can also choose how much money to spend on hiring staff, what equipment
to buy, how many staff members to hire, etc.

Hiring:

The corporation should employ store managers who can run the business profitably based on its
investment and budget.

Training:

To improve management abilities and implement IT-enhanced educational programs, a corporation

must offer training to all of its management team members.

Combating Theft:

This can be achieved by putting the new policies into operation, employing a retail layout, and adhering
to the same kind of standard security procedures. It would be advantageous to attempt to eliminate as
many middlemen as you can. They should also implement an automatic inventory scanner so that all
items are properly recorded, management can predict what products are in the store, on their way to be
delivered, what is needed for the next-day delivery, and it can be used to track theft and other misdeeds
that occur along the way.

ABC General Corporation will earn more revenue to strive as a corporation and become more successful
if it incorporates ethics, security, an automated scanner, and a more efficient approach to collect data.
