MQRIC confirms that the "St Mary's School of Medical Technology" is not included in the registers of licensed
or accredited institutions maintained by the "All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)", the "Ministry
for Human Resource Development (MHRD)", nor of the "Indian Nursing Council". For this reason, MQRIC
cannot provide either recognition or a level rating for the qualification "Nursing Assistant and Midwifery
Course".

The Mutual Recognition of Programmes Act XVIII of 2002 empowers Designated Authorities to make further
evaluations of programmes and experience. In terms of the aforementioned Act, if the intention is of practicing
a profession, one has to submit an application to the relevant Designated Authority requesting authorization to
practice a profession.

An appeal may be filed within 10 days from the date of issue of this statement in accordance with Regulation 8
of the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre and the Mutual Recognition of Qualifications
Appeals Board Regulations, which appeal should be lodged with the MQRIC Appeals Board, Office of the
Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education and Employment, Great Siege Road, Floriana VLT 2000.
