THE COMPANY

Fueled by our mission to inspire, engage and

empower individuals through the art of
movement and dance, Urbanity is a non-profit
contemporary dance organization based in
Boston’s South End. Urbanity aims to engage
people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities,
both in their own communities and in our own
studio space, by helping them discover the joy
of movement.

Each season, Urbanity's critically-acclaimed

professional dance company presents
performances and programming highlighting
Boston’s diverse voices, including weekly
performances about empathy and bullying for
Young Audiences.

“Whether twisting into one another...or

wrestling with their shadows, Urbanity’s
dancers fulfill their mission to ‘elevate
physical intelligence.’” —Boston Magazine
