Some mainstream platforms, such as TV and online platforms, have made advertisements main strategy

of companies. Nowadays, despite the fact that it is easy to influence public for the both big and small
companies by advertisements, in what extent it is helpful for people is a controversial topic. In my
opinion, it is beneficial for both companies and consumers, at the same time there are also some
drawbacks.
Correct advertising is one of the necessary factors for the development of a certain company. Diverse
media platforms, particularly social media made advertising cheaper and effective than others due to
the incredible users in such platforms. Currently, consumers are able to find the correct companies for
diverse purposes from mentioned media organizations, and it also increased competition sense among
rival companies. Companies need to increase quality of their product in order to keep pace with other
rivals, and prove their quality by the advertisements. Furthermore, numerous job opportunities have
been created by the improvements in advertising sector. Particularly, a professional is requirement in
this field for developing of company. For instance, marketing management is one of the popular
professions in modern world, and companies allocate a great amount of money in order to reach public
On the other hand, advertisements can be used in biased way. Specifically, most parents allow their
children to watch cartoons on TV, certain cartoon channels advert different companies. Children are the
target of such companies, and since children are vulnerable and sensitive part of society, they are the
ones who become influenced by advertisements so much. Moreover, the negative impacts of marketing
are not constrained with effects on children and adults are also influenced by them unconsciously.
Energy drinks, for example, they are one of the bestselling products nowadays, and their negative
effects are certain for everyone. However, people drink them due to influence of advertisements.
In conclusion, advertisement is reducing rate of unemployment and help people in their daily life but
some companies use advertisement as a weapon. I consider that plus points overweigh the cons of
development in advertisement and negative effects would be certainly solved by strict measurements
of government on products which are harmful.
