Errors listed on the Verification Report indicate the difference between the values read by the gauge and the actual values
assigned to the ValiDator block at each depth. These values are a measure of the accuracy of the gauge with the calibration
constants listed in the Verification Report and meet the requirements for verification of ASTM D7759, ASTM D6938 and
AASHTO T310.
Maximum expanded uncertainty using the ValiDator for verification at k=2 are presented below for all depths according to
the requirements of ASTM D6938, D2950 and D7759. The values below are in percent (%) and indicate the maximum
expanded uncertainty for the range of densities normally encountered in construction material testing, low [109.4 lb/ft3 (1752
kg/m3)], medium [135.6 lb/ft3 2172 kg/m3)], high [162.1 lb/f3 (2597 kg/m3)] and moisture (34 lb/ft3 (545 kg/m3).
Note: Expanded uncertainty calculated using NIST Technical Note 1297 in percent for density and moisture verification by
the ValiDator block at k=2
