How to restore an AOS based NetEnforcer to factory defaults

ootThe instructions below to revert the NetEnforcers to factory default are divided into sections, thus applicable for all AOS based products, based
on their components.
SG-Sigma
1. Connect to the host blade with console over the serial inte

rface.
2. Reboot the host blade.
3. during the boot sequence type 'cnf' and you will see a two line menu appear on screen

using arrow keys you can toggle between the boot modes. the default is system use the down arrow key to select rescue to become the
boot partition.

Or you can reboot straight into rescue using:

rescue
ac_reboot -b 1

4. Once login prompt appears, log in as root user

Welcome to Linux 2.6.22.9 (ttyS0)

5. Access the util directory, where you will find Restore to Factory script

root@host-blade:~# cd /usr/local/utils/
root@host-blade:/usr/local/utils# ls
*makeImage.sh* *retToFactoryDef.sh*
root@host-blade:/usr/local/utils#

6. Run the script. type YES when prompt


root@host-blade:/usr/local/utils# ./retToFactoryDef.sh

Looking for Image file ...


Image file was found ... continue ...

WARNING !!! This operation will delete ALL your disc !!!
Do you wish to proceed with this operation ? (n/no/YES) [n]:YES

SigmaE, AC1400, AC3000 and other one-blade systems


1. Connect console to the AC10k (AC1K/3K/5K/Sigma)
2. Reboot AC10k (AC1K/3K/5K/Sigma)
3. While this message appears, type cnf and press Enter

6. Go to: cd /usr/local/utils/
7. Insert the command: ./retToFactoryDef.sh
8. Insert the command: YES
9. Insert the command: reboot

*** In new boot versions the above won't work, use the below:

1. Connect console to the AC10k (AC1K/3K/5K/Sigma)


2. Reboot AC10k (AC1K/3K/5K/Sigma)
3. While this message appears press cnf and Enter

4. insert the command:

boot_rescue_part

***Now you can install version (only on the first time of installation eng is needed*) - ./ac10k-instl.sh -e

Flow Balancer Blade (FB-200) or SGFB (PP50)


1. Connect serial console cable to PP50's console port
2. Run terminal emulation program with 8N1, 115200. You get the prompt "root@cnode-pp50:"
3. Login as 'root', empty password (Login into IPMC).
4. cu -l /dev/ttyS2 (this will connect to XLR1, to connect to XLR2 run cu -l /dev/ttyS4).
5. Reboot using 'reboot' command. During reboot, type 'Enter' several times (when 'phy 3'/'phy4' appear)
6. After reboot, you get the prompt "PP50-0 $"
7. Type 'printenv'(get 3 commands from bootcmd1-3) and 'dls pcmcia_1 1'
8. dload pcmcia_1 1 linux-rescue-kernel (bootcmd1 but change to pcmcia_1 1 and rescue partion name)

9. elfload (bootcmd2)
10. userapp xlr_loader linux_cpu_mask=0x0000000f hostname=XLR-732 (bootcmd3 without root=/dev/hda3)
11. After reboot, you get the prompt "localhost login:" ('root' user, rescue partition=>" How to restore an AOS based NetEnforcer to

12. cd /opt/allot/bin
13. ./restore_factory_defaults
14. Reboot

AC502 and 504


1. Connect console to the AC504
2. ac_reboot to reboot NE
3. While this message appears type 'cnf' to break into boot process (don't hit carriage return)

- you might have to type 'cnf' for two different boot prompts

Hit '1' to boot Backup Bootloader,

Type 'cnf' to enter Boot1.5 Shell...0
