Abstract

Pornography viewing is a popular pastime (Albright, 2008; Carroll, Busby, Willoughby, &

Brown, 2017; Price, Patterson, Regnerus, & Walley, 2016). Many people, however,

report acquiring negative tendencies as a result of their pornography use (Bothe, Toth-

Kiraly, Zsila, et al., 2018; Grubbs & Perry, 2019; Grubbs, Perry, Wilt, & Reid, 2019). The

researchers have decided to conduct this study in order to understand the influence of

personality type to the susceptibility of youth to watching pornography films. The

objective of the study is to determine the relationship between personality type to

susceptibility level of pornographic consumption. Hence, the researchers used The

Problematic Pornography Consumption Scale (PPCS) and The Glazer-Stress Control

Lifestyle Questionnaire to measure the personality type and susceptibility level of the

senior highschool students, respectively.

Keywords: personality type, pornography, senior highschool students, susceptibility.
