Drainage Improvements
Project Need:
The existing drainage conveyance
mechanisms at the intersection of Mill Creek
Road and Stoney Batter Road are
inadequate, resulting in water accumulation
and undermining of the existing traveled
way which creates safety hazards for the
traveling public.
Project Purpose:
• Perform preventative maintenance:
• Correct undermining of the road and drainage
system
• Correct and armor slope failures
• Correct drainage deficiencies:
• Correct water from bypassing the existing
drainage system
• Correct water accumulation in the roadway
• Relocate stream which is meandering toward
road
• Reduce roadside exposure:
• Correct roadside drop-offs
• Correct slope failures
