Rules: In ken-ken, the objective is to place numbers 1…6 into the boxes, where no number is
repeated in any column or row and the values within any region satisfy the arithmetic expression.
You must use “deductive logic” to find the unique solution to the puzzle.
Notation: For our convenience, we need a way to refer to each of the boxes, so we say Box(2,3)
is the box in row 2 and column 3. In general, Box(i,j) refers the box in row i and column j. We
say that the variable X(2,3) represents the value that should be placed in Box(2,3). So the object
of the game is to find the values for X(i,j), where, for instance, X(5,2) + X(6,2) + X(6,3) = 8.
Observations: (We will list these as we zero in on our solutions)
 X(2,2) must be 6. X(6,1) must be 1.
 X(1,5) and X(1,6) must be 1 and 6 or 6 and 1, respectively. Why?
 X(2,4) and X(3,4) must be 1 and 2 or 2 and 1, respectively. Why?
 The region for “30×” must have a 5 in it. Why
