Subject: Invitation to attend the inaugural session of the training program on Training on
Architectural and Structural Aspects of Traditional Buildings of Kathmandu Valley

Dear Sir,

I am pleased to inform you that, on behalf of UN-Habitat and UNESCO, Centre for Integrated Urban
Development (CIUD) is coordinating a five-day training entitled Training on Architectural and
Structural Aspects of Traditional Buildings of Kathmandu Valley with the following key objectives,

1. Develop training package to train engineers and architects on understanding traditional building
designs
2. Train local engineers and architects on architectural and engineering aspects of traditional private
buildings including conservation of partially damaged houses.
3. Prepare training module on traditional building design for municipal drawings
For this purpose we have developed a course content which is attached herewith.

In this context, I kindly request you to attend the inaugural session of the training program as per
the program below.
