QUESTION 1

Based on the circuit in Figure 1, apply the method to overcome the effects appeared due to
the existence of inductor by drawing the new circuit diagram and the waveform of output
voltage of the new circuit. Your answer should include explanation of circuit operation of
the method chosen.

QUESTION 2

Illustrate the schematic circuit of Step-down Chopper with RL load. Based on the circuit,
sketch the waveform of capacitor current (Ic) and inductor current (IL). Your answer should
include the value of RMS output voltage (Vout(RMS)) and RMS output current (Iout(RMS)) if
Vin=55V, conduction time, 𝑡𝑜𝑛 = 2𝑚𝑠 and frequency, f is 200Hz and resistor, R is 330Ω.
