LAC SESSION ON READING INTERVENTION STRATEGIES TO

TOPIC THE LEARNERS AT RISK

Minutes of the
LAC SESSION Sived ES Teaching and Non-Teaching staff conducted a
LAC Session last December 16, 2022 at 1:00 in the afternoon. The
session began with an opening prayer through an Audio-visual
presentation followed by the words of inspiration given by our very
able School Principal II, Mr. Emilio J. Somera. Ms. Christine Joy T.
Tabuyo, T2 initiated the giving of energizer before the delivery of the
topic of the speaker, Mrs. Jocelyn T. Baptista, T3 in this school.

The speaker discussed about Reading Intervention

Strategies to those learners at risk. She said that Reading
Intervention Strategies should be designed to address the needs of
our struggling readers. She also said that, It’s not only what we
teach that matters but also the way we teach in order to learn better.
She also discussed that by using reading intervention strategies, we
can make a difference to those struggling pupils. She also transpired
to us the different reading intervention strategies that will work and
 we can used or apply in our teaching especially those who are
struggling learners. At the end of her discussion, she emphasizes
that reading intervention strategies will help us transform our reading
instruction into an effective and awesome success. And in her final
saying, she said that we can absolutely be a rockstar reading
teacher and we can be the difference for our struggling readers.

All teacher-participants were very amazed and learned a lot

to the presentation of the Speaker, Mrs. Jocelyn T. Baptista, T3. A
very job well done for an amazing presentation.

The session ended up with a closing prayer through an

audio-visual presentation. The session adjourned at 4:30 in the
afternoon.
