CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT : Primary School

The aim of these article is how to faciliate managing of classroom for primary teachers.The
one of the articles refers aspects of positive teaching, learning this process’s outcome.
Classroom management is researched to ensure students with more opportunities that a
teacher does to organize students, space, time, and materials so as to able to develop out of.
Students concentrate and perform at the maximum level along with the ability of teachers to
manage the classroom. Teachers should get better of unexpected situations and enhance
different strategies and approches for each student. Effective classroom management and
positive, energetic classroom atmosphere construction are fundamental goals for all teachers.
Specially, in the elementary and primary school the teacher and class atmosphere are very
important for the children.

Effective teaching practices are closely related to both management and motivation. “To be
successful, teachers must be able to establish appropriate student behavior in their classrooms
in order to maximize the time that they and their students spend on learning.” (Wiseman and
Hunt, 2008, p. 6).So aggressive, disruptive behavior wastes teaching time, disrupts the
learning of all students,threatens safety, and overwhelms teachers (Wiseman & Hunt, 2008).
Every teacher should have approaches and discipline in order that they calm students who
behave aggressive to other students and teacher. However another important point that we
need to address, discipline and punishment have not same meaning. Discipline is vital to
enable to maximizing for students performance in the class. It faciliates to provide same rights
for students in the peace atmosphere. Effective classroom management involves clear
communication of behavioral and academic expectations as well as a classroom environment
conducive to learning.

The essential goal of effective teaching in the primary class is how to read, write,
pronounce.Yet, teachers experience problems about students’ hyperactive. They do not want
to seat long time. Teachers should research ways that students are able to calm and enjoy the
lesson.

Bulger et al. (2002, p. 3) say that “teachers can begin to establish a positive learning
environment by showing
their passion for the subject matter, using student names, reinforcing student participation
during class, and being active in moving among the students.”
Classroom climate includes social relationship and emotinoal situations.Futhermore, this
atmoshpere ,which we are able to refer climate effects students’ success, emotional growth
and improvement.In the positive classroom, students will be prepared and willingly to come
class.Teacher promote the students in order to help each other and behave like a
team.Students and their classmates should realize that they work with teacher and their
friends.

Teacher should recognize external and internal obstacles, especially external ones .Teacher do
not often ponder external obstacles. “Thoughts help control feelings. Therefore, if you change
your thinking, the state of your feelings may be altered” (Ciaccio, 2004, p. 24).
