Morning:

 Wake up and have breakfast

 Engage in range-of-motion exercises and physical therapy exercises specific to the
affected body part
 Review any progress of therapy goals with a therapist or a healthcare professional.

Mid-morning:
 Have a snack
 Engage in leisure activities such as reading, watching TV, or listening to music
 Take a short walk, if possible or air the room

Afternoon:
 Have lunch
 Engage in swallowing exercises if necessary
 Continue with physical therapy exercises specific to the affected body part
 Engage in leisure activities such as playing games, crafts or other hobbies

Evening:
 Take medications as prescribed
 Have dinner
 Review the day with a therapist or a healthcare professional
 Engage in relaxation techniques such as deep breathing or meditation

Bedtime:
Get ready for bed
Review any therapy goals for the following day
Take medications as prescribed

Frequency: Aim to exercise at least 3-5 times per week, with at least one day of rest in
between.
Duration: Start with shorter exercise sessions of 10-15 minutes, and gradually increase the
duration over time. Eventually, aim for 30-60 minutes of exercise per session.

gradually progress to more complex exercises.
