A. From the story, I can relate my personal experience with it with my mother. Because she worked
hard in order to provide us with the things that we needed. The sacrifices she made in order to
provide us with the things that we needed daily just like what the bamboo tree did to its own
master. The bamboo chooses to sacrifice itself in order to provide the people’s needs in their
town, just like my mother has endured her sacrifices for us.

B. The Filipino value that I have learned from the story is being genuinely generous to others when
helping them. Like the bamboo itself, it did not mind if it was left with nothing as long as it
helped the people who were in need of its help. A good Filipino value that we should apply to
ourselves because it brings another level of satisfaction to ourselves when we help people
wholeheartedly.

C. The thing I learned from my experience is that we shouldn’t waste someone’s sacrifices. Just like
what my mother sacrifices for us, that is why I really engraved it in my mind to be better and to
continue to study. Because my education is the only way to repay my mother for all the sacrifices
she has made. So when the future comes and with my knowledge I am able to help someone in
need, I will do so wholeheartedly. Because for me, helping with genuity brings another level of
satisfaction.
