FINISHED SIZE

Approximately 19cm in height when using the recommended materials & hook sizes.

NOTES

Work in continuous rounds unless otherwise stated in the pattern.

Colour changes are made in the last step of the last sc of the round, unless otherwise stated.
I have used the 'x' stitch to create my Baby Rosie (yarn under technique).
Using different materials and hook size to what is recommended may alter the final appearance of your bunny.
If a different size hook and yarn is used, consider adjusting the size of the safety eyes & buttons accordingly.
The pattern is based on using yarn option 2 from the above material list.

BLANKET

The blanket is made using a sport weight yarn; I have used Safran Drops in 018 Off White with a 2.25mm hook. It is
made up of 16 squares connected together with a border around the edge. We will make 17 squares in total, 16 for
the blanket and one for the teddy bear lovey.

SQUARE - MAKE 17

Rnd 1: Make a mr and ch 5, 3 dc, [ch 2, 3 dc] x 2, ch 2, 2 dc, close the mr, sl st into the 3rd ch of the starting ch.

Rnd 2: ch 2, *working in the corner space [2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc], 3 dc in the next 3 sts*. Repeat from * to * 2 more times, 2
dc, ch 2, 2 dc in the corner space, then dc in the next 2 sts.

F/O and make an invisible st into first dc of rnd 2. Secure and weave in tails.

Lay out all 16 squares, 4 across and 4 down (Pic. 58).

Line up each square with the fronts facing each other, and sew together using the nearest and furthest loop from
you to create an invisible join (Pic. 59).

Once all squares have been connected, weave in all the tails.

BLANKET BORDER

Using the same yarn colour as the squares, pull up a loop in one of the sts on the outer edge, work over the tail to
secure it.

Rnd 1: sc around each edge and make a sc, ch 1, sc for each corner. At the end of rnd 1, ch 1.

Rnd 2: sc around each edge and make a sc, ch 1, sc for each corner. At the end of rnd 2, ch 2.

Rnd 3: hdc around each edge and make a hdc, ch 1, hdc for each corner.

F/O and make an invisible st to finish. Secure and weave in the tail. It is advisable to block your blanket so it lays flat.

Rnd 4 - 6 (3 rnds): 18 sc (18) tail will be used to attach the head to the square.

Pic. 62 Pic. 63 Pic. 64

EARS

The ears are worked into a whip st with hdc's. Mark out the placement of the ears over rnds 3 & 4, equally on each side of the
head.

Take a long length of yarn and make a whip st (the longer part of the yarn should be on your right hand side so you can make
the hdc's, with shorter end on the other side). Pull the st in firmly enough to work into.

Row 1: Insert your hook under the whip st and make 5 hdc into the whip st (5) (Pic. 65).

F/O and pull the tails to tighten the ear. Secure the tails and weave them in. Repeat on the other side of the head for the
second ear. The ears are symmetrical, therefore work the second ear in the opposite direction to the first ear.

Using the same colour yarn as the bear head, pull up a loop in a corner space of the square and ch 2.

Paw 1: Make a 5 dc bobble st, sl st into corner space.

F/O and tie a knot at the back of the bobble st with the 2 tails. Take one of the tails and firmly wrap it around the base of the
bobble st, 2 or 3 times. Take the tail to the back and knot the 2 tails again. Weave them into the bobble st.

Repeat the above in each corner space to complete all 4 paws.
