Field Trip
Your class is planning to have a field trip in one of your historical places in your region .As the
president of your group, you are assigned to go to an amusement park in the area where you
are supposed to visit so that a reasonable amount will be included in the field trip fee.You are
asked to present and deliver a report. Each group will analyze, interpret, and explain the
gathered data using mathematical models(linear equations in two variables). In addition, you are
also expected to give recommendations and to which options if any, will recquire a minimal
amount of fee.You will present your work to your classmates and teacher through a
slideshow. You are to submit a written report that includes mathematical tables and graphs.

A.Suppose the amusement park has two ticket option.

1.Buy an admission ticket for Php.100.00 and then pay Php.5.00 for each ride
2.Buy an admission ticket for Php.40.00 and then pay Php.15.00 for each ride
B.How much will a student spend if he/she will buy the Php.100.00 admission ticket and take 5
rides?10 rides?15 rides?0 rides?x rides?
C.How much will a student spend if he/she will buy the Php.40.00 admission ticket and take 5
rides?10 rides?15 rides?0 rides?x rides?
D.If x represents the number of rides and y represents the total amount spent in pesos, write
two equations (one for B and another for C) to represent the two admission and ticket
option.Start your equation with y=
E.Graph the equations that represents the admission and ticket options on the same x-y
plane.Scale the x-axis one unit per ride.Scale the y-axis one unit per peso .Label each line as to
which admission and ticket option it represents.
f.Use the graphs in E to find the point of intersection of the two options,What does the point of
intersection represents:
G.Write an explanation as to what option to choose.Include other information so that a
decision can be made.
H.If you are going to this amusement park, what option will you choose?explain.
