    1) What happened?

    REvil demands US$50m from Acer in ransomware attack, I’m pretty sure Acer paid the $50 million to
    decrypt their private documents.

    2) Who is or will be impacted?

    Acer will be impacted since the ransomware attack encrypts financial spreadsheets, bank balances,
    and banking communication and more.

    3) How does this affect information security?

    This affects information security as very private documents have been compromised from a very
    large company and if this happened to people’s data on a larger scale they wouldn’t trust Acer
    anymore.

    4) Find two websites that provide information about this issue. This can be news articles about the
    incident/event or background information about the technology (Wikipedia pages are fine).
