INTRODUCTION
 When considering a new stadium development, or a major reconstruction,
understanding the logical process of development from start to finish is
crucial to the successful realisation of the project. Ideally the process should
allow for the varied requirements of stakeholders to be factored into the
development from the beginning. Moving forward without such a process can
leave stadium owners with multiple problems, during development and, even
more importantly when the facility becomes operational. Numerous project
developers have been guilty of not selecting the right site, not considering and
researching the local market, building too large a stadium or not having
sufficient premium seating, hospitality and retail facilities, and thereby
missing revenue earning opportunities

1.The problems that are faced in the process of building

construction project site according to Mr. Taye (office engineer)
 The inflation price of materials of construction was the worst of the problems
faced during construction. Which is specifically the prices of cement.
 The second of the problems was the prices of labor (the laborers were asking
for more wage prices) and as a result of that a considerable amount of time
was lost during the construction process were most of the construction
process needed to happen.
 Weather condition during which the construction of the stadium was started
was the time where there was a lot of rain which was during the winter that
made it hard for construction to take place and most of the construction
needed to be finished during that time.
 Experts that test the soil bearing and other things haven’t been able to make
the tests on time because of lack of materials of construction that made it not
possible to construct the project and make the appropriate tests.
 Finally lack of enough number of experts in the construction site has made
the management and construction process hard to maintain because the site
engineers had been assigned to the other sites at maraki.

2.How these problems were addressed or mitigate

 The first issue was the prices of labor which is being dealt with but there
hasn’t been that much reduction in the prices of goods. And because of
also the que that is formed at the cement factory.
 The wage for laborers has been dealt with a good manner and they have
been paid according to their demand.
 Even though the weather was bad in the winter for the projects good
progress was also made during that time.
 When it comes to the tests some progress had been made and tests have
been taken, but the others have been left out because the experts couldn’t
be there most of the time.
 Even though there was lack of experts (engineers and foremen) one
person had been assigned to take multiple tasks and had been addressed
in that manner.

3.Activities that were done on the site

 The first thing that was done was clearing the site of different
obstructions (grass, bushes, and upper soil) removed.

3.1. Sub structure

 Bulk excavation was done (bad soil removed).
 Pit and trench excavation was done and footing pad was placed.
 After the foundation grade beam had been set the slab is now in
the process of construction.
 There are pvc layouts under the football field for seepages and
weep holes are also provided.

3.2. Super structure

 Beams and columns are being constructed and the roof top is going
to be made with a simple roof top with a balcony on the top.
 Finally the tennis and basketball fields had been compacted with 20
cm of soil and topped with red ash.
 The football field had been compacted as well.

3.3 Finishing works

 Grass is being laid out on the football field and the grass is being
o Watered as well.
 The finishing for the super structure hasn’t been completed because
o lack of pvc pipes for drainage.

CONCLUSION
 According to our site investigation the big problem of our country building
process is the deficiency of construction material (i.e cement , pvc ,
steel) ,cost of materials are expensive and also wage prices for labor is not in
considerable amount then lack of experts. These problems leads to delay on
construction life time; to solve such problems the owner as well as the
construction company should consider supplementation of materials, cost ,
wage price of labors and also experts; using same expert for different project
leads to same designs, makes similar mistakes, and cannot provide a new look
for the environment ; also if one expert tries to address many projects, there
will be waste of working time there for giving chances for new experts can
solve such problems.
