-Indian women's hockey team beat Chile 3-1 in FIH Nations Cup in Valencia, Spain

India will now face world No. 11 and Asian champions Japan today at the same venue followed by their
last pool match against South Africa on Dec 14. The top teams from the group will qualify for the semi-
finals. The eventual winner of the Women’s FIH Nations Cup will be promoted to the FIH Pro League’s
2023-24 season.

-India's maiden human space flight Gaganyaan targeted to be launched in fourth quarter of 2024
The Government has said, the country's maiden human space flight mission, Gaganyaan, is targeted to be
launched in the fourth quarter of 2024

This was stated by Union Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh in a written reply in the Lok Sabha. The Minister
said, in view of the paramount importance of crew safety, two uncrewed flights are scheduled, before the
final human space flight- 'H1 mission', to demonstrate the performance of the crew escape system and
parachute-based deceleration system for different flight conditions.
-Abhinandan Saroja National Award 2021 for Aparna Satheesan
The Abhinandan Saroja National Award was started on the birthday of the legendary Guru Smt. Padma
Bhushan Saroja Vaidyanathan for honoring the legacy in the field of Indian Classical Dance.

Aparna Satheesan is also a recipient of the prestigious Natya Shiromani National Award by India festival
Organization USA and Bharata Shastra Nritya Praveena Award by the All India Dancer’s Association for
her outstanding achievement in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi. She is a renowned Bharatanatyam and
Kuchipudi dancer who has presented her creative choreographies at a global level and also demonstrated
her social responsibility through her charity work by giving back to society, using her gifted dance talent.
She was nominated for her excellence in performance, choreographic skills and charity work in the field
of dance.

-Bangladesh: Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami arrested over links with militancy


Chief of the Jamaat-e-Islami, called Ameer, Shafiqur Rahman was placed on a seven-day remand by a
Dhaka Court on Tuesday on charges of being involved with militancy.

The police sought a 10-day remand for him in the case registered under the Anti-terrorism act but the
court granted remand for 7-days.

The Jamat-e-Islami Chief was arrested by a team of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC)
from Basundhara area of the capital on Monday.
