SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER / PRODUCT OWNER

Novacomp is an IT services company. Founded in Costa Rica in 1997, with more than 23
years of experience in the development and maintenance of systems in the financial
services industry and more than 10 years of experience in the development of mobile
applications (APPS) we also offer diverse IT products and services, including software
analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance services on
multiple platforms and with diverse methodologies.

The company has operations in Costa Rica (headquarters), Guatemala, Panama, and the
US (this market is in the process of growth through the nearshore modality). There are
currently more than 400 collaborators and as part of the growth process, we seek to
increase this number in the coming years.

JOB DESCRIPTION
A Senior Project Manager oversees the planning, scheduling, execution, monitoring, and
reporting of IT projects. They also have advanced knowledge of development
technologies. They must be good communicators and be able to clearly explain complex
technical issues. As well as create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support

• Constantly support the project by reviewing gaps in production and searching for
improvements.

• Analyze project tasks and establish priorities.

• Understand the development cycle and technical issues.

• Experience with both technical development and product management.

• Develop the marketing campaign for the final product.

• Keep a proactive approach and manage blockers or other issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must-Have

• Computer Science degree or a related technical degree.

• More than 5 years of experience as a Product Owner.
• More than 3 years of experience as a Software Developer.
• Broad technical knowledge and marketing background to showcase or demo a
product in detail.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems in coordination with the development
team.
• Experience working in distributed and multicultural teams.
• Experience leading software development teams and products.
• Experience with multiple software releases and Software Dev++ with a SaaS
background.
• Understanding of the development pipeline and experienced with architecture for
several releases in small periods.
• Experience running and guiding the implementation of Agile methodologies with
the Scrum framework for software development.
• Excellent English level of C1 or above.

Nice to Have

• Broad experience developing products in a SaaS company.

• Experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of software frameworks and patterns any of these JavaScript, CSS,
Node.js, and Python.
• Knowledge of build and release automation.
• Ability to learn new programming languages.
• Ability to evaluate and adopt new technologies.
