Legal Factors:

The laws that are governed within France also have a major impact on the operation of Dior

stores, for example, the laws that take care of labor in the workforce. The minimum wage to

which a worker is entitled is decided by the government of that region. The performance of

Dior's stores depends on it following the laws established in the country. Some factors that

impact Dior are: Legal protection of intellectual property, patents, copyrights, and other

intellectual property rights in France. Health and safety regulations in France and what Christian

Dior must do to comply with those regulations and what the cost of not complying with those

regulations will be.

Ethical Factors:

The characteristics included in the ethical factor are not always positive because, being a

well-known company worldwide, it is subject to social or governmental pressures, for example,

the brand has been accused of being involved in animal slaughter by conducting tests on animals

through its suppliers or a third party, this has damaged the reputation of the brand at the time that

the news has been released.

However, after several years the company has also taken steps to improve its ethical

practices. For example, it banned the use of fur in its designs and launched a sustainable cotton

collection. While Dior has taken some steps to address these concerns, there is still room for

improvement.
