Hi, everyone.

I hope you have read my welcoming message posted earlier.

Once again, welcome to HPGD 2303 Educational Assessment.

As the course title suggests, this is an assessment course in education. The course covers a wide range of
topics such as assessment principles, various assessment methods/procedures (both traditional and
authentic assessments), test validity and reliability, item analysis, and analysis of students’ test scores
and their interpretation. The course is especially useful to you as teachers, lecturers, and educators.

To support you in your learning journey, you are provided with a module in the form of e-content. The
module is the main source learning material, which you can download from myInspire. You are also
provided with video lectures, which you can view and listen to at your own pace.

To further assist you in your learning, I will also upload 10 ppt presentations, which consist of the gist of
the 10 topics in the module. The ppt presentations are uploaded under each topic. The ppt
presentations are merely summaries of the topics in the module. They should be read together with the
module to gain full understanding of the course contents.
