The Position

Under the supervision of the Workshop Manager, the Workshop Stores Coordinator performs
supervisory and technical duties in the implementation and management of fleet operations in the
Intrepid East Africa workshop. Together with a team of other technicians ensure the fleet is technically
and operationally maintained to the required standards. You will be responsible for maintaining the
Fleet Management System, vehicle documentation and workshop equipment records. Key to this role
is ensuring the fleet maintenance is to budget with minimal breakdowns. This position is a permanent
full-time opportunity, based in our Nairobi location and can accommodate some hybrid working.

To set you up for the best possible success, some of the essential skills you’ll possess are:

• Relevant Diploma plus coursework in auto and equipment mechanics at a trade school
• At least three (3) years experience as a mechanic, or any equivalent combination of education
and experience.
• Knowledge and experience in fleet management and working with Mercedes-Benz trucks is
highly desired.
• Knowledge of methods, techniques and procedures involved in maintenance repairs and
replacement.
• Considerable knowledge of safety practices and techniques in mechanics; considerable
knowledge of diesel and gas engine mechanics; considerable knowledge of vehicle make-up;

You will have the ability to plan, organize and direct the work of skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled
employees engaged in repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment. as well as build effective
working relationships with employees. You will take great initiative in your work, whilst sharing
