1. This Question Paper has 5 Sections A-E.
2. Section A has 20 MCQs carrying 1 mark each
3. Section B has 5 questions carrying 02 marks each.
4. Section C has 6 questions carrying 03 marks each.
5. Section D has 4 questions carrying 05 marks each.
6. Section E has 3 case based integrated units of assessment (04 marks each) with sub parts
of the values of 1, 1 and 2 marks each respectively.
7. All Questions are compulsory. However, an internal choice in 2 Qs of 5 marks, 2 Qs of 3
marks and 2 Questions of 2 marks has been provided. An internal choice has been provided
in the 2marks questions of Section E
8. Draw neat figures wherever required. Take π =22/7 wherever required if not stated.

27 Two water taps together can fill a tank in 6 hours. The tap of larger diameter 3
takes 9 hours less than the smaller one to fill the tank separately. Find the time
in which each tap can separately fill the tank.

28 The sum of four consecutive numbers in A.P. is 32 and the ratio of the product 3
of the first and last term to the product of two middle terms is 7 : 15. Find the
numbers.

In an AP of 50 terms, the sum of first 10 terms is 210 and the sum of last 15

terms is 2565. Find the A.P.

If tanA + sinA = m, tanA – sinA = n, then prove that m2 – n2 = 4 √mn .

30 Prove that the angle between the two tangents drawn from an external point to 3
a circle is supplementary to the angle subtended by the line segment joining
the points of contact at the centre.

In the given figure, a circle touches all the four sides of a quadrilateral ABCD.
If AB = 6 cm, BC = 9 cm and CD = 8 cm, then find the length of AD.

31 Ramesh got ` 24000 as Bonus. He donated ` 5000 to temple. He gave ` 12000 3


to his wife, ` 2000 to his servant and gave rest of the amount to his daughter.

10 cm × 5 cm a cylindrical hole of diameter 7 cm is drilled out. Find the surface
area of the remaining block.

A hemispherical depression is cut out from one face of a cubical wooden block
of edge 21 cm, such that the diameter of the hemisphere is equal to edge of the
cube. Determine the volume of the remaining block.

7 cm. Find the total volume of the solid.

36 In a class the teacher asks every student to write an example of A.P. Two friends Geeta and
Madhuri writes their progressions as -5, -2, 1, 4, ... and 187, 184, 181,.... respectively. Now,
the teacher asks various students of the class the following questions on these two
progressions. Help students to find the answers of the questions

A boy is standing on the top of light house. He observed that boat P and boat Q are
approaching to light house from opposite directions. He finds that angle of depression
of boat P is 45° and angle of depression of boat Qis 30°. He also knows that height of
the light house is 100 m.
