Introduction
BCC Bulk Mailer Business February 2023 (Service Pack 1) was released on January
18, 2023.

This release is required for all BCC Bulk Mailer Business customers.

BCC Bulk Mailer Business program version:
l BCC Bulk Mailer Business 2023.02.02 (also known as Service Pack 1)

What's New in this Release


The February 2023 Release of BCC Bulk Mailer Business included the changes for the
January 2023 rate case.

When you install the February 2023 (Service Pack 1) release, all changes from the rate
case release and the Fixed and Addressed Issues from this release will be installed.

You can review the release notes for the January 2023 rate case release from one of
the following locations:

New Features
There are no new features in this release.

Product Updates
Mail Sort
USPS data files included in this release:
l [Release 02] for the City/State file
l [Release 02] for Labeling Lists and Zone Charts
l [Release 02] for the Mail Direction File

Release 02 will be used for mailing dates that fall on February 1, 2023 or later. It is valid
through March 31, 2023.

Address Correction
The February 2023 USPS Address Correction (CASS) files are included in this release.
The February 2023 Address Correction files are valid through March 31, 2023.

You can access the files through BCC Software, Internet-based processing, or locally
installed files. Address Correction files are provided monthly. For more information,
see:

Address Browser Users


To use the Review Uncorrected Addresses option during address correction, you must
install the Address Correction files locally on your computer.

Install Address Correction Files Locally


1. In the installation program, select Modify. Click Next.
2. On the preference page, select the On My Computer option and specify where
you want these files to be installed.

Set Processing Options


1. Start the Address Correction Wizard.
2. On the Processing Options page:
a. Clear the Use BCC Software's Internet-based service check box.
b. Select the Review uncorrected addresses check box.

Fixed and Addressed Issues


The following issue has been fixed or addressed in this release.

Issue Number Description

SEAM-11774 With the February 2023 release, an excessive number of Mar-


keting Mail and First-Class letter pallets were created due to an
inadvertent change where pallets were split if they contained
different container types—for example 1-ft trays and EMM trays.

SEAM-11805 After the February 2023 release, eligible Marketing Mail flats
were not correctly assigned the DSCF Discount when they
were on sack-based pallets.

Supported Operating Systems


BCC Bulk Mailer Business can be installed on a wide range of platforms. For more
information, sign in to the BCC Customer Portal and see the System Requirements for
BCC Products.

Discontinuation of Operating System Support


With the November 2022 Release, which included the SQL Server 2019 Upgrade,
BCC Software discontinued BCC Bulk Mailer Business support for Windows 8.1 and
Windows Server 2012 R2.
