Student Satisfaction Analysis

4. Describe your survey population(s) (i.e., list appropriate demographic characteristics such as
grade level and subject for students).
Students are now at the French Introductory I, they are all beginners. These students are very
interested in this language and have a good attitude in class.

5. List factors that might have influenced the results (e.g., survey was conducted as the bell
rang for dismissal).

Students have no rejection of this questionnaire, and they are generally very serious. The only
contributing factor might be that they have done too many questionnaires recently.

6. Analyze survey responses and answer the following questions:

A) What did students perceive as your major strengths?

The results of the survey were very positive. The first is the students' interest in the course,
which is the key factor for them to get good grades. Secondly, my classroom atmosphere is very
relaxed, I am very tolerant and patient with students, they trust and rely on me. Most
importantly, the activity in class is also very interesting.
B) What did students perceive as your major weaknesses?

A small number of students hope to reduce homework, and many students hope to have a
fixed French textbook

C) How can you use this information for continuous professional growth?

The workload is quite reasonable. In addition, I will seriously think about the preparation of textbooks,
because the French syllabus is formulated with reference to many actual situations, and it actually uses
many textbooks at the same time. It is unrealistic to just use a textbook. I have already explained this
issue to my students, and I will think carefully about this issue later.
