SPECIALIZATIONS
Postgraduate degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering specialized in one of the following streams.
✓ Electrical Power Applications (Power Systems, Energy Systems and High Voltage Engineering)
✓ Communications and Information Engineering (Digital, Wireless, Optical communication, IT, Microwave
Engineering)
✓ Controls and Instrumentation (Control, Robotics, Automation, Electronic and Instrumentation)
FLEXIBILITY
Flexibility to select one of the following options in MSc degrees:
✓ Fully Taught Course (30 credits)
✓ Taught courses + research

Regular MSc Eng/MSc program is a part time program and all the lectures will be conducted during weekends at University
of Peradeniya and/or in online mode. Minimum duration is 18 months part-time. Minimum duration for the PG Dip is 12
months part-time.

A Double Degree of M.Sc. in Engineering specializing in

Wireless Communications
The University of Oulu, Finland, a leading university in Wireless Communication has joined hands together with the
Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Peradeniya to establish a Double degree program
from 2018 onwards. A registered student completes the first year (Ten 3-credit courses) at the University of Peradeniya
and the second year at the University of Oulu. The first year lectures will be conducted in weekends at University of
Peradeniya and/or online mode. Upon the completion of requirements corresponding to both universities at the end
of two years, students will receive the double degrees.

Peradeniya

Duly filled Application form and the recommendation forms along with the necessary supporting documents should be
sent by registered post to reach us by 15th October 2021. Due to the prevailing situation email the same documents

our website: www.pdn.ac.lk/eng/ee/pg. Course fee: For MSc Eng/MSc is LKR 300,000 & For Postgraduate Diploma is
LKR 225,000.
