The benefits of Chinese Tea

Good morning, everyone. As a tea-aholic, I can't wait to share my knowledge of tea

with you.

Drinking tea is an ancient tradition for many cultures especially the Chinese. Tea is
derived from the Camellia Sinensis plant. It is made when boiling water is poured
over the fresh cut or cured remains of the harvested plant. Then, it's left to sit and
absorb into the water. Drinking tea is known to have many health benefits and today
we'll go over just a few of those. Including “reducing the risk of diabetes”, “losing
weight" and “improving memory”.

Firstly, “Chinese tea can reduce risk of diabetes".

One of the many benefits of drinking tea regularly is it helps increase insulin
productivity in your body, helping you reduce the risk of diabetes. Many people aren't
aware of the fact that tea contains polyphenols. These micronutrients are filled with
antioxidants, and other properties that help prevent diabetes and cardiovascular
disease. It is known that drinking 5-6 cups of oolong tea a day can reduce your risk of
diabetes by over 30 per cent.

Moving onto my second point. “Chinese tea can aid you in losing weight”.

The discussion about tea in "Materia Medica Supplements" of the Tang Dynasty
mentioned that “Drinking tea for a long time makes you thin", and modern scientific
research has confirmed this. The caffeine in tea can promote the secretion of gastric
juice, help digestion, and enhance the body's ability to break down fat. Foreign
studies have also shown that regular tea drinking can reduce waist circumference
and lower BMI (Body Mass Index), thereby helping to prevent diabetes and
cardiovascular diseases.

My Last point is that “Chinese tea is known to improve memory".

Tea can also help improve your mental abilities. This is because tea contains
enzymes that help increase your brain function, and decrease cognitive impairment
in middle aged adults. A study conducted in Singapore concluded that drinking tea
regularly can reduce cognitive impairment in senior citizens by as much as 50 to 86
per cent. This means that Chinese tea might help us find a way to combat cognitive
diseases in the future like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.

Alright, that’s it from me today. We have talked about the benefits of drinking tea, and
covered “reducing the risk of diabetes”, “losing weight" and “improving memory”. But
of course, the benefits are not only these. Due to time constraints, we can only share
these. If you are interested, you can find more information on the Internet. Does
anyone have any questions?

Great! Thank you so much for your attention today.
